Decathlon has expanded its electric bike lineup with the launch of the Rockrider E-ACTV 500 high frame model in Europe. This new e-bike shares several features with the low-frame version, which debuted earlier this year. Both models are equipped with a 250W Yamaha motor delivering 55Nm of torque, offering a robust and efficient ride.
The Rockrider E-ACTV 500 provides five assistance modes, powered by a 504Wh battery capable of delivering up to 150 km (~93 miles) on eco mode, the lowest power setting. Riders can adjust the assistance level using the bike’s color control screen, which also includes a USB-A charging port for added convenience.
Key components of this 8-speed model include the Suntour SF15 NEX-E25 suspension fork for smoother rides, a Microshift Acolyte derailleur, Rockrider Protect+ puncture-proof off-road tires, and Tektro T280 hydraulic disc brakes. Additional accessories include integrated lights, fenders, and an optional luggage rack.
The smart e-bike also pairs with the Decathlon Ride app, allowing users to track and enhance their cycling experience.
Finished in dark green, the high frame model weighs slightly more than its low-frame counterpart, with the medium version coming in at 24.7 kg (~54.5 lbs) compared to 24.5 kg (~54.0 lbs) for the low-frame variant.
Priced at €1,999, the Rockrider E-ACTV 500 HF is now available in several European countries, including France and Germany, at the same price as the low-frame version. It remains uncertain whether this new model will be launched in other markets, such as the UK, where the low-frame variant is already available for £1,999.
