Daihatsu Motor Japan, officially released the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid SUV type. This car gets a new look and also a new engine with hybrid technology.

The launch of this car at the beginning of the year to be precise at the Tokyo Auto Salon, January 14-16, 2022. However, Daihatsu will not immediately sell the car.

Reported from Carscoops, Sunday (9/1/2022). The Japanese manufacturer will only market the Daihatsu Rocky e-Smart Hybrid in November 2022. Sales of this car are only marketed domestically or in Japan.

Speaking of specifications, the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid is equipped with an electric motor that produces 105 hp and 170 Nm of torque. The electric motor is mated to a 3-cylinder WA-VEX 1,200 cc Atkinson-Cycle petrol engine with an additional 81 hp and 105 Nm of torque.

In addition to the mechanical heart, there are additional features on this Daihatsu Rocky hybrid such as an electric parking brake with Auto Hold and the Smart Pedal system. This technology is no longer common in the environmentally friendly vehicle segment.

For information, Daihatsu Rocky with 1,000 cc turbo and 1,200 cc engines. For the price offered, 2,116,000 yen ($18,279) to 2,347,000 yen ($20,274).
