Recent aerial observations at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Texas showcase the presence of updated gigacastings for the Cybertruck, potentially earmarked for initial deliveries as customer production reportedly commenced earlier this week, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The sighting coincides with Tesla’s planned grand launch event at Giga Texas on November 30, signifying the imminent arrival of the highly anticipated all-electric pickup truck. Notably, the Cybertruck has also been captured undergoing water-resistance trials in a dedicated leakage test chamber, indicating Tesla’s proactive approach to addressing potential issues before the vehicle reaches customers.

The meticulous testing appears to be a response to past challenges, such as the Model Y experiencing trunk water leakage, which required subsequent Service Bulletins and adjustments to resolve. Tesla seems keen to avoid a repeat scenario, with an evident focus on ensuring the Cybertruck’s initial production batches meet stringent quality standards.

In addition to production updates, the aerial footage reveals a new wheel cover design for the Cybertruckā€”a departure from previous designs used by Tesla. The fresh aesthetic features black wheel covers adorned with faux steel spokes and silver edges, aligning seamlessly with the Cybertruck’s distinctive black top and stainless steel design.

As anticipation builds for the Cybertruck’s official launch, these developments underscore Tesla’s commitment to refining its electric vehicles and delivering a product that meets both performance and quality expectations.
