The highly anticipated Cupra DarkRebel concept made its physical debut at the IAA Mobility show in Munich, following its initial showcase in the virtual world just four months ago.
Cupra’s design team drew inspiration from the more than 270,000 online configurations generated by enthusiastic fans after the DarkRebel’s digital premiere earlier this year. The result is a visually stunning concept car that boasts an array of captivating features.
At the front end, an illuminated Cupra badge is prominently displayed alongside a sharply pointed nose and distinctive triangular light signatures. The exterior bodywork is adorned in a unique shade of dark violet, immediately setting it apart from the crowd.

The front bumper exudes a sense of power with its sharp and dramatic lines, giving the DarkRebel concept a menacing aura. Complementing this bold design are the striking wheels featuring black spokes, copper accents, and see-through elements that offer a glimpse of the brake calipers. When viewed from the side, the car’s two-door design, reminiscent of a Shooting Brake, captures attention with its sculpted rear half and a sizeable spoiler extending from the roof.
Turning to the rear, the DarkRebel concept boasts LED taillights featuring triangular signatures and an illuminated badge. Additionally, a supercar-worthy diffuser adds to the car’s allure.
Inside the cabin, meticulous attention to detail is evident. A central spine, crafted using 3D metal printing technology, not only enhances structural performance but also serves as a visually striking focal point. Cupra has outfitted the concept with Supersport bucket seats featuring headrests wrapped in 3D knitting fabric, and a crystal shifter emerges from the central spine. Eco-conscious materials, including 90% biodegradable bamboo, have been thoughtfully incorporated. Moreover, a thermal camera mounted on the ceiling monitors cabin conditions, ensuring optimal comfort through the intelligent climate control system.
