The Citroën My Ami Buggy Concept, which was shown in December 2021, is certain to enter the production kitchen. The French manufacturer will sell the mini electric car exclusively online from June 21. Citroën also said that only 50 units of the My Ami Buggy will be produced.
This production version of the My Ami Buggy features a dark green body with some bright yellow accents and bronze alloy wheels with black center caps. Compared to the previous concept with more open sides, this variant has a tubular door. The dark gray roof has a canvas section that can be opened and stored behind the seat.
Compared to the standard Ami, this version has a tougher look thanks to the reinforcement of the front and rear bumpers and black trim around the wheel arch and side sills. In addition, a spoiler is also attached to the back of the roof.
In the interior, My Ami Buggy is equipped with black seats with the same yellow stitching as the storage area on the dashboard. This model comes with a plaque displaying “My Ami Buggy Ultra Special Limited Edition” and the production number of 50 units.
Given its very compact size, the Citroën My Ami Buggy is equipped with an electric motor that can only produce 8 hp and a battery unit with a capacity of 5.5 kWh. With a top speed of only 45 km/hour, this mini electric car has a range of up to 70 km.
Citroën itself priced the My Ami Buggy for € 9,790. Shipments for the Citroën My Ami Buggy will begin on August 8, 2022.
