Chery’s Latest Sterra ES and ET Models Offer Advanced 800-Volt Technology and an Exceptional 700 Km Range

Chery, one of China’s leading automotive manufacturers, has recently launched an impressive range of new vehicles, including two electric models under its new Sterra brand. The Sterra ES and ET are built on Chery’s EOX high-performance platform, featuring advanced 800-volt architecture and equipped with features such as air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and a double-wishbone setup at the front end.

The Sterra ES is a sleek sedan that measures around 4,950 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and boasts a generous 2,900 mm wheelbase. The vehicle’s front end features a distinctive LED light bar, two prominent air intakes, and a lower grille, giving it a sleek and modern appearance. On the other hand, the Sterra ET is a premium mid-size SUV that shares many of the ES’s design elements, but with a slightly larger form factor.

According to reports from local media, the Sterra ES and ET will be offered with different battery pack options, ranging from 60 kWh to 100 kWh, and can provide driving ranges of 500 km to 700 km, depending on the pack. Furthermore, these models can add up to 150 km of range in just 5 minutes, making them extremely convenient for long journeys.

In addition to the Sterra models, Chery has also introduced other exciting vehicles that cater to different consumer needs. One of the most intriguing is the Chery TJ-1, a compact SUV with a rugged look that immediately catches the eye with its blacked-out front grille and LED light bar. Car News China reports that the TJ-1 will be available with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, a plug-in hybrid with a 1.5-liter turbocharged mill, and an electric-only driving range of over 100 km.

What’s particularly noteworthy about the TJ-1 is that Chery is asking its fans to help name the new SUV, which is still in its prototype phase. This is a clever marketing strategy that allows the company to engage with its customers and create a sense of community around its brand.

Overall, Chery’s new vehicle lineup showcases the company’s commitment to producing innovative and technologically advanced vehicles that cater to a wide range of consumer needs. With the Sterra brand and other exciting models, Chery is poised to capture a significant market share in China’s booming automotive industry, and cement its position as a leader in the field of electric vehicles.
