Chery Automobile’s premium brand Exeed has unveiled four new models—the ES8, ES7 GT, ET8 and ET9—expanding its ES and ET product families as part of efforts to reinvigorate sales after a challenging year.
The models were presented at Exeed’s Brand Night event on Wednesday, where the company said it was entering what it described as a “3.0 era,” aiming to position itself as a global performance-luxury brand for the smart mobility age. The launches follow the debut of the ET5 midsize SUV in late November, which marked the start of Exeed’s ET series.
The ES8 and ES7 GT feature shooting brake-style designs, while the ET8 and ET9 are positioned as sport utility vehicles. The naming conventions mirror those used by Nio, although Exeed’s model classifications differ. At Nio, ES models are SUVs and ET models are sedans.
Exeed said its ES series is focused on performance attributes, with the ES7 GT featuring a sport-tuned suspension setup and acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in under four seconds. The ET8 and ET9 SUVs both feature coach-style doors, a design element typically associated with higher-end luxury vehicles.
The four new vehicles add to Exeed’s existing portfolio, which previously included the Sterra ET and Sterra ES models. The brand said it plans to introduce more than three additional models over the next 10 to 20 months as it broadens its lineup.
The expanded range forms part of Exeed’s broader strategy to reverse weak sales momentum over the past year, as competition intensifies in China’s premium electric and intelligent vehicle segments and automakers seek clearer differentiation through design, performance and technology.
