Chery has launched the Fulwin T7 compact electric SUV in China, with official prices starting at 97,900 yuan ($14,430). The new model is available in three variants and offers a 600-km CLTC driving range, positioning it in China’s competitive entry-level electric SUV market.
Chery is offering limited-time early-bird trade-in prices that reduce the three variants to 94,900 yuan, 105,900 yuan and 115,900 yuan, respectively.
Fulwin T7 Electric Powertrain and Battery
All three Fulwin T7 variants use a single electric motor producing up to 178 kW (239 hp) and 275 Nm of peak torque. The SUV has a top speed of 180 km/h.
Each version is equipped with a 65.05-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) Rhino Battery. Chery rates the vehicle at a CLTC range of 600 km, with energy consumption of 12.9 kWh per 100 km.
The battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes. The Fulwin T7 also supports external power discharge of up to 6.6 kW.
Compact SUV Dimensions
The Fulwin T7 measures 4,570 mm in length, 1,852 mm in width and 1,694 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 2,700 mm and curb weight is 1,780 kg.
The vehicle has a drag coefficient of 0.286.
Digital Cockpit and Connectivity
The two lower-priced variants use Qualcomm’s 8155 chip, while the range-topping version receives a Qualcomm 8775 chip that integrates cockpit and driving functions and supports 5G connectivity.
The cabin features an 8.8-inch instrument display and a 15.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen. The infotainment system runs on Lingxi Smart Cockpit 2.0 and incorporates ByteDance’s Doubao large language model.
Advanced Driver Assistance
The top-spec Fulwin T7 is equipped with Chery’s Falcon 500 driver-assistance system.
The system uses 22 sensors, comprising three millimeter-wave radars, seven cameras and 12 ultrasonic radars. It supports highway driving assistance and more than 300 parking scenarios.
Safety and Vehicle Structure
Chery says high-strength steel accounts for 80% of the Fulwin T7’s body structure.
The SUV uses a cage-style body structure and is equipped with nine airbags as part of its safety equipment.
Fulwin Expands Chery’s EV Lineup
Fulwin is Chery’s main sub-brand for new energy vehicles, with its lineup covering sedans and SUVs as well as battery-electric and plug-in hybrid models.
The T7 expands Fulwin’s presence in the entry-level electric SUV segment, where it will compete with established models such as BYD’s Yuan Plus.
With its combination of a 600-km CLTC range, LFP battery and starting price below 100,000 yuan, the Fulwin T7 adds another competitively positioned electric SUV to China’s rapidly expanding budget EV market.
