Chery released a concept car called the Jetour TX. This SUV type car has a boxy design, similar to the Ford Bronco and Land Rover Defender.
For information, Jetour is a sub-brand of the Chery Holding group, which was founded in 2018 and now sells more than 150,000 cars per year.
Chery Jetour TX has a front fascia like the Ford Bronco and the shape of the window to the rear is similar to the Land Rover Defender. The grille is embedded with the ‘Jetour’ logo combined with LED lights with boxy over fenders, black pillars, and A/T tires. Yellow accents on the roof rack enhance its adventurous style.
Still from the exterior, this car uses large dark glass pillars, with a floating roof design. There is also no door handle on the door, which makes the side look clean and minimalist.
Regarding performance, the Chinese car manufacturer has not provided any leaks. But reportedly, the Chery Jetour TX will use a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The engine, which is a combination of a conventional engine and an electric motor, is claimed to be able to reach 1,000 km and average fuel consumption of only 1 liter per 100 km.
Chery Jetour TX is also rumored to be using adaptive suspension and all-wheel drive system with differential lock.
The concept car is predicted to retail for around 150,000-300,000 and will be marketed from 2023.
