The charging alliance formed earlier this year by Atlante, Electra, Fastned and Ionity will operate under a new name, ChargeLeague, as the group outlines its priorities for 2026 and prepares to expand subscription access across its combined high-power charging (HPC) network.

The announcement was made at the WATT 2025 industry summit in Munich, where around 70 representatives from across the electric mobility sector gathered to discuss interoperability, service quality and infrastructure reliability. The group said the rebranding reflects a shift from early conceptual work toward delivery of coordinated products and services for EV drivers.

ChargeLeague members presented an initial 2026 roadmap focused on defining shared metrics for station reliability, maintenance standards and equipment expectations.

The initiative aims to create a unified “gold standard” of data quality for customers and navigation partners. To support this, the alliance is evaluating a new data platform capable of exchanging consistent operational information across operators.

One of the major developments for consumers will be the planned extension of charging subscriptions across the entire ChargeLeague network. The alliance originally set the goal of enabling users to charge across member networks without switching applications, though full interoperability is not yet available.

A preliminary step launched in July allowed one operator’s app to display stations from the other members, but charging still requires a provider-specific app. The alliance expects broader subscription integration to roll out in the coming months.
