Changan officially introduced the 2026 Deepal L07 to the Chinese market, marking its most affordable model yet equipped across the range with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4.0 SE advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS). The new sedan is offered in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants, featuring more powerful electric motors and an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip powering the Deepal OS 4.0.
Pricing for the new Deepal L07 ranges from 145,900 yuan ($20,300) to 165,900 yuan ($23,100), depending on the variant. Both the BEV and EREV models are rear-wheel drive, with the BEV featuring a 200 kW motor producing 290 Nm of torque, paired with lithium iron phosphate batteries of 56.12 kWh or 68.82 kWh, providing a CLTC range of 550 km or 660 km.
The EREV variant combines a 1.5-liter range-extender engine with a 175 kW electric motor, delivering a pure electric range of 240 km and a comprehensive range of up to 1,500 km. Fast charging enables the battery to recharge from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes.
The exterior design largely carries over from the 2025 model, featuring a drag coefficient of 0.215, frameless doors, hidden handles, sharp headlights, an electric automatic rear spoiler, and a striking 1.2-meter “Super Red” through-type taillight composed of 136 LED units. The mid-size sedan measures 4,875 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, with a 2,900 mm wheelbase, while trunk capacity spans 473 liters, expandable to 1,180 liters.
Inside, the Deepal L07’s cockpit is equipped with a 55-inch AR-HUD, a 15.6-inch 2.5K central control screen that can rotate by 15 degrees depending on the trim, and a redesigned three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel. Rear passengers benefit from touchscreens mounted on the back of the front seats and a console screen that allows adjustment of the air conditioning and rear seat angles. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip powers the Deepal OS 4.0, which includes a built-in AI assistant to support navigation, infotainment, and vehicle functions.
The full series comes standard with Huawei Qiankun ADS 4.0 SE, integrating three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 10 cameras to provide 21 active safety functions, including parking assistance and highway and urban lane center control.
With its combination of enhanced driver-assistance technology, upgraded powertrains, and a spacious, connected cabin, the 2026 Deepal L07 strengthens Changan’s presence in China’s increasingly competitive EV market.
