CASE Construction Equipment, a brand under CNH Industrial, presented a futuristic concept electric wheel loader at bauma 2025, showcasing a cabless design that prioritizes remote and autonomous operation. The concept, named Impact, is aimed at enhancing safety, accessibility, and round-the-clock functionality in challenging work environments.
While currently a prototype, CASE has a record of turning concept elements into commercial products. The Impact loader eliminates the traditional operator cabin in favor of AI-driven autonomy or remote operation, allowing for flexible deployment in hazardous areas and severe weather conditions.
CASE said the new design could enable operators to control the machine remotely from anywhere in the world, allowing for continuous operation with global shift coverage. “The cabin-less design… enables operations in extreme environments and adverse weather conditions,” the company noted during the debut. “It also means that job site, disaster recovery, or even rescue operations can continue 24/7, with operators in different time zones logging in for their shifts.”
The manufacturer also emphasized the potential social impact of the concept. By removing the need for physical presence inside the vehicle, the Impact loader could be used by operators with motor impairments or other disabilities. “This marks a significant advancement in accessibility, as operators with motor impairments and other disabilities can now operate the machine without physical limitations,” CASE said, calling it a step toward greater inclusivity in construction.
