It measures 5,400 mm in length, 2,049 mm in width, and 1,921 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm. The model combines imposing dimensions with a wide range of advanced technologies developed by BYD.

The U8L is powered by BYD’s e4 (Yisifang) platform, pairing a 2.0T engine, a 55.53 kWh Blade battery pack, and four electric motors. This setup produces 880 kW (1,180 hp) and 1,520 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.

Despite its large size, the SUV supports features such as a 5.45 m minimum turning radius, tire stability control during blowouts, tank turn, crab walk, and even emergency flotation on water. The pure electric driving range is 200 km, while the combined range reaches 1,160 km with the support of a 90 L fuel tank. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes just 13.5 minutes.

The advanced driver assistance system, known as “God’s Eye” A (DiPilot 600), integrates three lidars, five millimeter-wave radars, 14 ultrasonic radars, and 18 cameras. This enables features such as high-speed and city NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), automatic parking assist, and remote parking assist. The infrared vision system enhances safety by detecting moving objects up to 120 meters away, with visibility extending to 300 meters in challenging conditions including fog, rain, or dust.
