Again about the expansion of BYD. After previously announcing plans for global expansion to several countries such as Japan, Germany, Sweden and Israel, the Chinese EV giant recently announced its entry into Thailand.

Thailand was not the first Southeast Asian market for BYD, previously the company had a presence in Singapore.

In Thailand, Rever Automotive will distribute and provide after-sales service for BYD passenger vehicles domestically. Rever Automotive has been known as a car dealer that focuses on new energy vehicles.

The electric vehicle market in Thailand has grown rapidly in recent years, with 30 automakers from around the world having a presence in the Southeast Asian kingdom. The Thai government itself targets that around 30% of total vehicle production by 2030 will be electric vehicles.

To date, BYD has received more than 2.3 million NEV sales globally. BYD has yet to announce what model will debut in the Thai market. There are indications that the BYD Dolphin, Atto 3, and BYD Seal may be the first three models from BYD for the Thai market.

BYD announced that it will participate in the 39th Thailand International Auto Show to showcase its models.
