Although BYD experienced a decrease in overseas sales figures for NEVs in March, the company remains the second-largest manufacturer of power batteries in China.
Furthermore, BYD’s installed power and storage battery capacity has increased significantly from last year, with a total capacity of 9.891 GWh in March 2023, up 84.77% from the same period last year.
In the first quarter of 2023, BYD sold a total of 552,076 NEVs, up 92.81% from the same period last year. However, this is a 19.22% decrease from the fourth quarter of 2022. Passenger NEV sales in the first quarter were 547,917 units, up 92.43% year-on-year but down 19.67% from the fourth quarter of last year.
Overall, BYD’s March 2023 sales figures demonstrate the company’s continued success in the NEV market, and its commitment to producing environmentally-friendly vehicles.
