The 2025 Dolphin, available in four variants priced between RMB 99,800 ($13,730) and RMB 129,800, represents BYD’s commitment to delivering affordable electric mobility solutions without compromising on performance.

Initially introduced in August 2021, the Dolphin remains a cornerstone of BYD’s innovative e-Platform 3.0 and Ocean lineup, designed to appeal to a youthful demographic with its compact stature reminiscent of the Honda Fit.

Measuring 4,125 mm in length, 1,770 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height, the 2025 Dolphin retains its sleek proportions and spacious interior, unchanged since its inception.

Key enhancements include upgraded battery capacities in select models, offering extended ranges of up to 520 km on a single charge, thanks to BYD’s advanced blade battery technology.

Despite being one of BYD’s top-selling models in 2023, with monthly sales often exceeding 30,000 units, the Dolphin has faced challenges in the current market landscape.
