Brompton, the British manufacturer known for its iconic folding bicycles, has launched its latest electric model, the Electric T Line, across Europe. The company describes it as the lightest folding e-bike ever built, combining a titanium and carbon frame with a newly developed drive system designed for urban commuting.
Weighing just 11.2 kg (24.6 lbs) without the battery and 14.1 kg (31 lbs) with the battery, the Electric T Line can fold from a fully functional road-ready e-bike into a compact form in under 20 seconds. Handcrafted in London, the new model reflects Brompton’s continued focus on portability and engineering precision for city riders.

At the core of the Electric T Line is Brompton’s proprietary e-Motiq system, also used in the company’s recently launched Electric G Line. The e-bike features a custom-built 250 W rear hub motor delivering 24 Nm of torque, optimized for smooth acceleration in stop-and-go urban traffic. It includes start assist for steep inclines and walk assist mode that supports speeds of up to 6 km/h (3.7 mph), providing added convenience when maneuvering off the saddle.

The Electric T Line is powered by a 345 Wh detachable battery, offering up to 90 km (55.9 miles) of range on a single charge. The system is paired with the Brompton Electric app, which provides smart range predictions and enables over-the-air updates for continuous performance improvements. The model also offers the brand’s broadest selection of frame materials, finishes, and accessories, including a new line of electric-compatible luggage.
