The City of Boca Raton will launch its first public autonomous shuttle service in Mizner Park on November 21, 2025, in partnership with Guident and Circuit Transit.

The MiCa shuttle will operate at low speeds along a fixed loop, connecting key destinations for residents and visitors.

The vehicle is supervised via Guident’s Remote Monitoring and Control Center (RMCC) platform, which provides real-time telemetry, predictive safety monitoring, and encrypted teleoperation.

The RMCC allows certified operators to remotely intervene if necessary, shifting primary safety responsibility from the vehicle to the centralized control center.

Circuit supplies the electric shuttle hardware and manages day-to-day operations, while the city oversees regulatory approvals and route planning. Officials plan to use insights from the initial deployment to expand routes and enhance the RMCC system.
