OS X will gain an expanded entertainment offering, including Amazon Prime Video integration. BMW is also introducing the BMW Drive Challenge, which monitors and evaluates driving behaviour such as steering, acceleration and braking in real time.

BMW Maps will receive a 3D view from October 2026, combining navigation information, the vehicle’s surroundings and assistance-system information within a consolidated visual display.

BMW will also expand the Neue Klasse iX3 lineup with the new iX3 40 xDrive. Starting at €65,900, the all-wheel-drive model will complement the rear-wheel-drive iX3 40 and the higher-performance iX3 50 xDrive.

The iX3 40 xDrive produces 275 kW of peak power, including 170 kW of continuous power, and 520 Nm of torque. This represents a 40 kW increase over the rear-wheel-drive iX3 40 and raises torque by 20 Nm.

The new variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and has a top speed of 200 km/h. Its 82.6 kWh battery provides a WLTP range of up to 621 km.

Production of the iX3 40 xDrive is scheduled to begin in February 2027. The model supports up to 300 kW of DC charging, with a 10–80% charging time of 21 minutes.
