Blink Charging announced plans to acquire 100% of the equity of Zemetric, a Silicon Valley-based electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure company specializing in fleet and high-utilization destination charging. The deal is expected to close on or before July 11, 2025, pending customary closing conditions.
Zemetric, founded in 2022 by industry professionals, offers charging solutions designed for interoperability and scalability. The company provides hardware, software, and service offerings for commercial applications, and has focused on supporting electrification for fleet operators and multi-unit residential environments.
Blink Charging stated that the acquisition is intended to enhance its product portfolio with Zemetric’s Level 2 charging technology and energy management capabilities. “Zemetric is a future-ready organization with innovative tech solutions and expertise in high-utilization EV charging and intelligent energy management,” said Mike Battaglia, President and CEO of Blink Charging. “We are particularly excited about adding Zemetric’s intelligent and flexible L2 product to our lineup.”
As part of the acquisition, members of Zemetric’s founding team will join Blink’s leadership. Harmeet Singh, Founder and CEO of Zemetric, will become Chief Technology Officer. Singh has previously held senior roles at companies including Shell and Greenlots. Bonnie Datta, Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer, will join as Senior Vice President of Global Commercial Operations, and Co-founder Kapil Singhi will take on a senior role in charger development.
“We are proud to have created a charging company that focused on making the ICE to EV transition an easy button for our customers,” Singh said, noting the company’s transition to Blink’s operations.
The acquisition follows a structured search process supported by Brightsmith Group, a firm focused on energy transition hiring and advisory services. Blink Charging stated that the transaction supports its broader strategy to build a more connected and scalable EV charging network.
