Blink Charging has been selected as the electric vehicle (EV) charging collaborator for Karbon Homes, a major social housing provider that owns and manages around 34,000 homes across the Northeast of England and Yorkshire.
As part of its broader sustainability strategy, Karbon Homes has committed to equipping all new developments with renewable technologies such as solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, heat pumps, and battery storage systems.
The partnership with Blink will enable the integration of EV charging infrastructure into these developments, supporting Karbon’s transition toward greener housing solutions.
“Working with Blink as a singular provider will increase the degree of oversight and control we have over our EV charging capability and will enable us to centrally manage our portfolio with support from Blink,” said Anthony Bell, Karbon Homes’ Group Director for Asset and Regeneration. “We look forward to working closely with Blink to connect our domestic and commercial chargers, bridging our EV infrastructure across our Development, Asset, Facilities, Property Services and Fleet teams.”
Founded in 2017, Karbon Homes focuses on building and managing affordable housing across northern England. The company’s partnership with Blink Charging underscores a growing effort within the UK housing sector to embed sustainable technologies and support the country’s transition to electric mobility.
