Canadian electric motorcycle manufacturer Beachman has unveiled the Aviator, a new electric café racer that will launch across North America this summer in three configurations, with prices starting at $5,499.
The lineup includes a Class 2 electric bike, a light motorcycle, and a premium 125cc-equivalent model scheduled to arrive later this fall. Beachman said it is currently fulfilling more than 150 customer preorders before moving into full-scale production.
Three Versions for Different Riders
The entry-level Aviator E-Bike is classified as a Class 2 electric bicycle, offering a top speed of 20 mph for on-road use and up to 35 mph off-road. It can also be registered as a 50cc moped in applicable markets and supports a maximum payload of 300 pounds.
The Aviator Light Motorcycle raises the top speed to 45 mph and increases payload capacity to 350 pounds. As a street-legal motorcycle, it requires registration, insurance and a valid motorcycle license.
Beachman also plans to introduce a premium 125cc-equivalent version later this year. The model will feature an 8 kW electric motor, an 8.2 kWh fixed battery, an estimated top speed of around 60 mph and a driving range exceeding 125 miles.
Battery Options and New Frame
Both the Aviator E-Bike and Light Motorcycle are available with removable battery packs in two sizes.
Customers can choose a 2.8 kWh battery with an estimated range of more than 55 miles or a larger 4.3 kWh battery capable of traveling more than 80 miles on a single charge.
All Aviator models are built on Beachman’s newly developed unified frame, designed to improve durability, ride quality and battery protection.
A redesigned faux fuel tank provides approximately two gallons of lockable storage space while also housing a USB-C charging port for mobile devices.
“One of the biggest benefits of the new frame design is the built-in storage,” said Ben Taylor, Co-Founder of Beachman.
“On a traditional gas motorcycle, that space is occupied by the fuel tank. With the Aviator, we were able to turn it into a lockable two-gallon storage compartment that’s perfect for gloves, snacks, groceries, or whatever you need for the ride.”
Safety and Customization
The Aviator comes equipped with brake lights, turn signals, mirrors, side reflectors, a horn and a headlight.
The battery is protected by a double-locking mechanism, while a built-in 45-degree handlebar lock provides additional security when parked.
Beachman also offers five standard paint colors along with optional custom tank wraps, leather seats, handlebars, grips and saddlebags, with additional accessories planned through 2027.
“The Aviator delivers a level of confidence out on the road that is more motorcycle than e-bike,” Taylor said.
“At Beachman, our goal has always been to build beautiful machines that inspire people to get outside, explore their surroundings, and enjoy their ride.”
