Be.EV and Paua have announced a strategic partnership in the UK, integrating all 700 of Be.EV’s charging stations into the Paua network. This collaboration aims to enhance accessibility and convenience for electric vehicle (EV) users across the country.
Paua, according to its website, currently provides access to over 53,000 charge points from more than 35 charge point operators (CPOs) throughout the UK. The new partnership with Be.EV will increase this number to nearly 54,000. Be.EV also plans to install an additional 300 charge points by the end of this year.
“We are very pleased to be working with Paua â a company which shares our mission to bring EV charging to as many people as possible,” said Asif Ghafoor, CEO of Be.EV. “At Be.EV, we are constantly looking for new sites to install our community-focused charging sites and will bring them to Paua customers as they go live.”
In addition to the partnership with Paua, Be.EV has recently teamed up with Zap-Pay, enabling its customers to pay for charging via the Zapmap app. Be.EV has also joined the Plugsurfing network and opened its first charging hub in Stockport, Greater Manchester, at the beginning of the year, with a second site to follow soon.
Be.EV, backed by Octopus Energy Generation, which invested ÂŁ110 million in the company last year, focuses primarily on Manchester and the North West region rather than operating across the entire UK.
The collaboration with Paua and other recent partnerships mark significant steps in Be.EV’s mission to enhance EV charging infrastructure and support the growing demand for electric mobility in the UK.
