The state-of-the-art, zero-emission vehicle will serve Dearborn Public Schools and usher in a new era of clean student transportation for the school district. Dearborn Public Schools is the third largest school district in Michigan with 37 neighborhood elementary, middle, and high schools educating more than 20,000 students. Xos has secured a purchase order for 30 of its 100% battery-electric stepvans from global uniform and linen rental services company Alsco Uniforms. Schneider will soon begin taking delivery of nearly 100 Class 8 battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) at its intermodal operations in Southern California. Schneider’s first Freightliner eCascadia, manufactured by Daimler Truck North America (DTNA), is set to roll off the assembly line at the Portland, Oregon, DTNA plant.
