Nissan has announced a custom version of its new Ariya electric SUV, designed for an adventure-packed 10-month trip from the North Pole to the South Pole. The vehicle was unveiled by Nissan and the Pole to Pole expedition team in Iceland, and the special modifications made to the car for the extreme terrain were revealed. Toyota announces plans to manufacture hybrid vehicles and batteries in Turkey. The second-gen Toyota C-HR, set to be offered as both a hybrid and plug-in hybrid, will be produced at the Sakarya facility, which will also be the automaker’s first European plant with a battery production line. Valladolid, Spain is transitioning to more sustainable public transportation with the arrival of 11 18-meter Irizar e-mobility ie tram. Wolftank Group, an Austrian energy and environmental solution company, has partnered with Italian public transport operator TPER to set up TPH2, a joint venture for hydrogen refueling systems in Bologna. The new venture will provide integrated hydrogen refueling systems for Bologna’s public transport fleet of 127 fuel cell buses by 2026. In December of last year, TPER placed a large order for fuel cell buses in Bologna, part of a 90 million euro project to replace diesel buses with hydrogen-powered vehicles.
