Shangjie, the automotive brand jointly developed by Huawei and SAIC Motor, announced it has achieved 20,000 cumulative deliveries for its inaugural model, the H5 mid-size SUV. The milestone was reached 78 days after the vehicle’s market launch on September 23, 2025. The announcement was made today during a live video event hosted by Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) business. Lotus has filed regulatory details in China for its upcoming FOR ME plug-in hybrid sport utility vehicle, marking the electrified combustion-powered variant of the Eletre as the British performance brand expands its lineup in the world’s largest new energy vehicle market. Images released in December by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) show that the FOR ME retains the overall exterior design of the battery-electric Eletre, with only minor visual changes including revised wheel designs.
