SANY Group has announced that its fourth-generation autonomous heavy-duty truck, co-developed with autonomous driving firm Pony.ai, is nearing readiness for mass production, with the first batch scheduled for commercial operation next year. RoboSense said its LiDAR sensor deliveries climbed to more than 150,000 units in November, marking a sharp increase from October and underscoring accelerating demand from both the global automotive sector and the fast-growing robotics industry. The company said shipments had previously reached 120,000 units in October, making November the second consecutive month of record volume as it expands production to serve applications ranging from advanced driver-assistance systems to robotaxis and commercial robotics.
