Lyft and driverless technology company Motional will launch a driverless ride-hailing service in Los Angeles, using the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The two companies have already made public trips at Ioniq 5 throughout Las Vegas, United States (US). Tesla targets to produce 100 Semi electric trucks this year. The Tesla Semi truck entered production early last October at a factory near the Gigafactory Nevada, USA. Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS) has just launched a commercial vehicle design using fuel cells. The hydrogen powertrain is showcased in the form of a 5.5-tonne technology demonstrator. Glasgow, UK-based HVS said the demonstrators offered clues about the company’s planned zero emission HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) 40 tonnes. The Swedish automaker Volvo Group has signed a Letter of Intent with the North American region-based Pilot Company for the development of a public data charging infrastructure for electric trucks.
