While some automakers are still rolling out their 2024 electric vehicles, Audi is already pushing ahead with a mid-model refresh of its Q4 50 e-tron, now dubbed the Q4 55 e-tron. This refresh brings several significant improvements to performance, handling, and charging speeds.
The Audi Q4 e-tron is part of Audi’s strategy to electrify its entire portfolio, blending existing combustion models with new bespoke EVs. Launched in 2021, the Q4 e-tron is now entering its third model year, with the latest refresh adding to its appeal.

Originally offered in four variants – Q4 35, Q4 40, Q4 45 e-tron quattro, and Q4 50 quattro – Audi has now introduced the refreshed Q4 55 e-tron quattro, showcasing its commitment to continuous improvement.
Audi’s mid-model update isn’t just cosmetic; it includes substantial performance upgrades. The 2024 Q4 e-tron 55 boasts an optimized battery cell chemistry in its 77 kWh pack, allowing for charge rates up to 170 kW. This improvement enables the SUV to recharge from 10-80% in just 28 minutes on a DC fast charger.
The updated battery also extends the SUV’s range to 258 miles, an increase of 22 miles over the 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron 50 EV. Additionally, a revamped rear motor provides the Q4 e-tron 55 with 40 more total horsepower (335 hp) and a faster 0-60 mph time of 5.0 seconds.
