Audi has launched two new versions of its A6 e-tron, introducing an entry-level model with rear-wheel drive and a smaller battery and a more powerful all-wheel-drive variant.
These options are now available for order in Germany, with the base A6 Sportback e-tron priced at €62,800 and the A6 Avant e-tron estate starting at €64,450.
The entry-level A6 e-tron comes equipped with a 210 kW rear-wheel drive and an 83 kWh battery (75.8 kWh net), while the all-wheel drive models, branded as A6 Sportback e-tron quattro and A6 Avant e-tron quattro, start at €79,800 and €81,450, respectively.
In terms of performance, Audi notes that the A6 e-tron base model is significantly quicker than its SUV counterpart, the Q6 e-tron, with a 0-100 kph acceleration time of six seconds, aided by the A6’s aerodynamic design and lighter weight.
The A6 e-tron’s range benefits from these enhancements, achieving up to 627 km in the WLTP cycle for the Sportback and 598 km for the Avant with the smaller battery, compared to the Q6 e-tron’s 533 km.
Audi has also improved the performance of the A6 e-tron quattro, offering up to 315 kW, with Launch Control increasing output to 340 kW. This setup allows the A6 to reach 100 kph in just 4.5 seconds, a full 1.4 seconds faster than the Q6 e-tron quattro, and extends the range up to 716 km.
Both A6 e-tron variants maintain Audi’s advanced 270 kW charging system, enabling a 10-80% charge in only 21 minutes under ideal conditions.
