Audi has unveiled its 2025 RS e-tron GT and S e-tron GT, marking a significant update to its high-performance electric vehicle (EV) lineup. With nearly 1,000 horsepower and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 2.4 seconds, the new RS e-tron GT becomes the most powerful and fastest-accelerating production car in Audi’s history, pushing the limits of what electric performance can achieve.
The 2025 e-tron GT family now includes two models: the S e-tron GT, which offers a more accessible performance package, and the headline-grabbing RS e-tron GT Performance. Both models feature improvements in battery capacity, driving range, and charging speed.
The S e-tron GT delivers 670 horsepower and accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds. It offers a range of up to 300 miles, based on EPA estimates, combining both impressive performance and practical everyday usability. The RS e-tron GT Performance, meanwhile, offers an unmatched driving experience, with 0-60 mph in just 2.4 seconds, thanks to its powerful output and advanced thermal management.
Both models are powered by a new 105 kWh battery, providing up to 300 miles of range for the S e-tron GT, though range details for the RS version are yet to be released.
Key upgrades for both models include:
- Push-to-Pass Boost: Exclusive to the RS Performance model, this feature adds 94 horsepower during straight-line acceleration, providing an additional burst of power for ten seconds at speeds above 19 mph.
- Advanced Recuperation: Both models now feature regenerative braking that recovers up to 400 kW of energy during deceleration, enhancing efficiency and range.
- Faster Charging: The e-tron GT models now support DC fast charging at up to 320 kW, allowing for a 10-80% charge in just 18 minutes.
Audi has also refined the vehicle’s handling with new active suspension technology, improving cornering dynamics and ride comfort. The RS Performance model features an exclusive mode that optimizes torque distribution and suspension settings for optimal performance, whether on winding roads or a race track.
In terms of design, the 2025 e-tron GT lineup showcases new exterior colors, a reworked front fascia, and unique forged carbon elements. The RS model, in particular, features Audi’s first use of forged carbon fiber for both interior and exterior accents, creating a modern, lightweight aesthetic.
Inside, the new e-tron GT offers a high-tech experience with the introduction of a glass roof that features adjustable transparency. This innovative design allows drivers to modify the cabin’s light conditions using a liquid crystal film that transitions from clear to frosted at the touch of a button.
Pricing for the 2025 e-tron GT lineup starts at:
- S e-tron GT: $125,500
- RS e-tron GT Performance: $167,000
Audi has opened orders for both models through U.S. dealerships, with deliveries expected soon. Given the substantial upgrades in both performance and design, these new additions to the e-tron GT family represent a major leap forward for Audi’s electric ambitions.
