Alpine has unveiled the A110 Future, a development mule previewing the engineering behind its third-generation A110, which the company says will become the world’s first true electric sports car based on its newly developed Alpine Performance Platform (APP).

The prototype will make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, taking place from 9 to 12 July, where Alpine will also showcase its expanding range of high-performance electric vehicles.

New 800V Platform Targets Lightweight Performance

At the core of the A110 Future is the Alpine Performance Platform, an all-new aluminum architecture engineered specifically for electric sports cars.

The platform adopts a 40:60 front-to-rear weight distribution to preserve the balanced handling characteristics associated with the A110 while accommodating an electric drivetrain.

Energy is supplied by an 800-volt cell-to-pack battery system using high-energy-density battery cells designed to reduce overall vehicle weight while enabling faster charging.

Power is delivered through a rear-mounted dual electric motor 3-in-1 e-axle, paired with a silicon carbide (SiC) inverter that provides rapid torque delivery and improved power conversion efficiency.

The chassis also incorporates full aluminum suspension together with newly integrated braking and steering systems intended to enhance vehicle dynamics.

Goodwood Debut Highlights Alpine’s EV Strategy

The A110 Future will headline Alpine’s display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed alongside two production electric performance models.

Visitors will also see the A290 electric hot hatch and the A390, a 470-horsepower, five-seat electric sport fastback that expands Alpine’s performance lineup beyond traditional sports cars.

On 9 July, Alpine will host its “Alpine Moment,” bringing together the A110 Future with historic A110 models to illustrate the evolution of the company’s sports car engineering.

The event will conclude with a demonstration by the E20 Formula One car.

The festival will also feature appearances from BWT Alpine Formula One Team drivers Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto, joined by Alpine Academy and reserve drivers Nina Gademan, Paul Aron, and Alex Dunne through daily presentations, autograph sessions and interactive driving simulators.

The A110 Future provides the first detailed look at Alpine’s next-generation electric sports car architecture as the manufacturer transitions its iconic lightweight performance model to a fully electric platform while retaining the driving dynamics that have defined the A110.
