Aistaland, the new energy vehicle brand jointly created by GAC Group and Huawei, has opened pre-sales for its first production model, the GT7, as it enters China’s increasingly competitive premium electric vehicle market.

The GT7 is a mid-to-large-size shooting brake coupe offered in four variants, with pre-sale prices starting at 219,900 yuan (US$32,490) and rising to 309,900 yuan for the highest-specification version.

The model is scheduled to officially launch and begin customer deliveries next month.

Entry Into the Premium EV Segment

The GT7 marks Aistaland’s first production vehicle and its entry into the growing premium electric vehicle sector.

The company said the model is aimed at consumers seeking a combination of performance, advanced technology and distinctive styling.

To support the launch, Aistaland is offering a range of pre-sale incentives, including deposit credits, priority production allocation and complimentary interior upgrade packages.

Shooting Brake Design

The GT7 adopts a shooting brake body style, a segment that has gained popularity in China following the commercial success of vehicles such as the Zeekr 001.

The vehicle measures 5,050 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width and 1,470 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm.

Battery and Charging Technology

The GT7 is built on an 800-volt electrical architecture and utilizes CATL’s latest-generation Qilin battery technology.

According to Aistaland, the vehicle offers a maximum driving range of up to 900 kilometers on a full charge.

The company said the battery system supports 6C fast-charging technology, enabling rapid energy replenishment.

Performance Specifications

The flagship GT7 variant is equipped with a tri-motor powertrain.

According to the company, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.98 seconds.

The model also features Huawei’s Qiankun Chitu digital chassis platform, combined with a dual-chamber air suspension system designed to enhance ride comfort and handling performance.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

The GT7 is equipped with Huawei’s latest Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system.

The sensor suite includes an 896-channel LiDAR unit developed by Huawei, which the company describes as one of the highest-specification LiDAR systems currently available for mass-produced vehicles.

According to Aistaland, the GT7 has received a Level 3 autonomous driving road test permit in Guangzhou and has completed approximately 200,000 kilometers of Level 3 testing.

Smart Cockpit Features

Inside the cabin, the GT7 introduces Huawei’s next-generation HarmonySpace smart cockpit platform.

The system is designed to provide enhanced connectivity, digital services and intelligent vehicle interaction capabilities.

Expanding Sales Network

Aistaland said it plans to open approximately 300 retail outlets across 70 cities in China by the end of June to support the GT7 launch.

The company also confirmed that its second model, an SUV called the GX7, is currently under development.

Huawei’s Expanding Automotive Portfolio

Aistaland is one of several vehicle brands established through Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) strategy.

The technology company has previously partnered with multiple Chinese automakers to launch new vehicle brands and intelligent vehicle platforms.

In addition to Aistaland, Huawei recently partnered with Dongfeng Motor to introduce the Epicland brand, whose first model, the M8 SUV, debuted last week.

The GT7’s launch further expands Huawei’s presence in China’s smart electric vehicle market as competition intensifies among domestic manufacturers in the premium segment.
