A collaboration between two revered brands, Airstream and Porsche, has resulted in the creation of a revolutionary camping trailer concept, designed to satisfy your wanderlust with its sleek aerodynamic design, optimized weight for EV towing, and convenient garage storage capabilities.

Studio FA Porsche, the renowned design firm, has breathed new life into the classic aluminum “silver bullet” travel trailer. Airstream was founded by Wally Byam, a camping enthusiast who sought to enhance the camping experience by providing comfortable sleeping arrangements, a fully equipped kitchen, and ample storage space.

Byam’s unwavering motto of “Let’s not make changes, let’s only make improvements,” has been a guiding principle for Airstream’s success, as it has remained the longest-tenured recreational vehicle manufacturer globally.

As the world shifts towards a cleaner, more sustainable future, Airstream has once again set its sights on improving its offerings. With Studio FA Porsche’s legendary design experience, the teams have created a sophisticated 16.4-foot camping trailer with an urban-inspired design that enhances electric vehicle towing capabilities.

The concept trailer boasts impressive aerodynamics with a newly shaped rear end that enhances airflow and a streamlined underside that reduces drag. The trailer also features a lowered suspension and insulated pop-up roof, allowing for easy storage in residential garages, a first for Airstream.

The trailer’s interior is optimized for space, featuring a versatile rear seating area that transforms from a dining space to an office to a living room. The seating area converts into an 82″ x 61″ sleeping area for a comfortable night’s sleep. The kitchenette includes a sink, a two-burner cooktop stove, and ample storage, all neatly tucked away into the spacious interior.

Airstream’s Porsche-designed camping trailer is ideal for camping on or off the grid, equipped with integrated rooftop solar panels and lithium battery storage to conserve energy for later use.
