Solaris Bus & Coach has appointed Agata Stańda as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July 2025. She replaces Javier Iriarte, who has assumed the position of Vice Chairman of the company’s Supervisory Board while continuing his role as CEO of CAF Rolling Stock.

Stańda joined Solaris in 2020 and has most recently served as Management Board Member responsible for Strategy and Sustainability. With a career spanning multiple continents, including Europe, Africa, and Asia, she brings a broad international perspective to the role. She holds academic degrees from the Poznań University of Economics and Business and the ESCP Business School in Paris.

“It is an honour to lead Solaris. I would like to thank the Supervisory Board and the CAF Group for the trust they have placed in me,” said Stańda in a statement. “Over the past few years, we have undergone a significant transformation, becoming a leader in e-mobility for urban transport in Europe. I am confident that together with our entire team we will continue our growth path, with Solaris and the CAF Group setting trends in sustainable urban mobility.”

Javier Iriarte, a Spanish executive with ties to Solaris’s parent company CAF Group, had led the company since early 2023. He now takes a broader strategic role within the group, serving both on Solaris’s Supervisory Board and as the head of CAF Rolling Stock.

Under Stańda’s leadership, Solaris is expected to build on its strong position in the European electric bus market. The company has become one of the region’s leading suppliers of battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell buses, playing a key role in helping public transport operators shift to zero-emission fleets.
