A consortium known as the Software République has introduced the U1st Vision (You First Vision) concept, a “technology demonstrator” that signifies a shift from “mobility services” to “services being mobile.”
The concept, resembling a pop-up store on wheels, envisions a future where services such as healthcare and bike repair are mobile and can be deployed as needed. This innovative idea is built on the FlexEVan, an electric light commercial vehicle platform.
Renault provided limited details, but the concept features a distinctive front end with headlights connected by a slender bar, a unique bumper with circular accents illuminated, digital side mirrors, and aerodynamically optimized wheels. The rear compartment has an expansive window akin to a traditional storefront.
The U1st Vision is designed as a health pop-up, targeting medical deserts—areas with limited healthcare access. The mobile clinic aims to provide preventative care, diagnostics, and treatment. The van is equipped with an examination chair and cabinets stocked with medical equipment. It also boasts an AI-powered avatar and the capability to communicate with smart devices, such as smartwatches, for health monitoring.
While specifics are sparse, the FlexEVan is set for production in 2026 by Flexis SAS, a joint venture between Renault and Volvo.
The concept integrates technologies from the seven members of the Software République and its partners. Besides Renault, the members include Dassault Systèmes, Eviden, Orange, STMicroelectronics, Thales, and JCDecaux.
