Chinese Electric Vehicle Manufacturer Xpeng Expands Market in Europe

Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng Motors announces its expansion in Europe targeting the Swedish and Dutch markets, Reuters, Thursday, February 10, 2022.

Until recently the only overseas market for Xpeng, which makes the P7 and P5 sedans as well as the G3 and G9 sports vehicles, was Norway. Shipments of the Xpeng electric car for the country began in late 2020.

Xpeng said in a statement it would open a showroom in Stockholm this week and would also partner with local car dealer Bilia.

They also announced that they had reached an agreement with Swiss vehicle distributor Emil Frey to supply electric cars to the Netherlands. This agreement is also said to be developing a sales and service network in the Netherlands and managing a showroom there.
