Kia’s fastest vehicle, the EV6 GT, is set to redefine electric sports cars with a series of major upgrades. Spotted in the U.S. for the first time, the refreshed model boasts a striking matte blue finish and revamped performance features, further advancing its appeal in the high-performance EV segment.
The EV6 GT, which starts at just over $60,000 in the U.S., offers an electric powerhouse with 576 horsepower and 545 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.4 seconds.
A standout among both electric and gas-powered sports cars, Kia’s top-performing EV has outpaced luxury models like the Ferrari Roma and Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder RWD in independent acceleration tests.

The new EV6 GT, unveiled in Korea last November, introduces Kia’s fourth-generation battery technology. With a larger 84 kWh battery pack, the vehicle achieves an extended range of 319 miles, surpassing the previous model’s 310 miles. The refreshed GT trim offers improved aerodynamics, including a redesigned front bumper, sharper headlights, a wider rear bumper with a wing-like structure, and distinctive 3-D Star Map taillights.
Inside, the EV6 GT benefits from Kia’s new connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) system, featuring dual 12.3-inch curved screens for a seamless driver and infotainment experience.
Kia plans to build the 2025 EV6 models, excluding the GT trim, at its Georgia plant alongside the new EV9 SUV. The lineup will include multiple trims, such as Light (RWD), Wind (RWD or e-AWD), GT-Line (RWD or e-AWD), and the top-tier GT (e-AWD). The revamped EV6 series is expected to hit the market in the first half of 2025.
