Polish public transport operator Tyskie Linie Trolejbusowe (TLT Tychy) has placed an order for 18 Trollino 12 trolleybuses from Solaris, with delivery scheduled to be completed by early 2026. This deal strengthens the long-standing collaboration between the two companies.

The Trollino 12 is part of Solaris’ low-floor trolleybus range, which also includes the Trollino 18 and Trollino 24 models. While specific configurations for TLT Tychy’s order have not been disclosed, the trolleybuses will feature onboard batteries, enabling operation in areas without overhead lines. These vehicles can charge via the overhead line network or dedicated depot charging stations, enhancing their operational flexibility.

This is not TLT Tychy’s first collaboration with Solaris. Since 2002, the transport operator has received 30 trolleybuses and two battery-electric buses from the Polish manufacturer. The new order will bring the total number of Solaris vehicles in TLT Tychy’s fleet to 50, underscoring the city’s commitment to sustainable urban mobility.

In addition to Tychy, Solaris serves other Polish cities like Gdynia and Lublin with its trolleybus models. The Trollino series is designed to provide environmentally friendly public transport solutions, integrating advanced technologies to meet the diverse needs of urban operators. The upcoming Trollino 12 fleet will further contribute to TLT Tychy’s efforts to modernize its public transportation system and reduce emissions.

With the new order, Solaris continues to solidify its position as a key player in the sustainable public transportation sector, supporting cities in their transition to cleaner mobility solutions.
