Engwe has launched its latest all-terrain electric bike, the M1, in Europe, offering two versions for different markets. The EU version features a single battery with an assistance range of up to 90 km (~56 miles), while the international version, equipped with dual batteries, provides a longer range of up to 170 km (~106 miles).
Both versions of the Engwe M1 are powered by a 250W 65Nm hub motor and are capped at a top speed of 25 kph (~16 mph). Riders can enjoy added comfort thanks to front and rear suspension, as well as 20 x 4.0 inches fat tires for improved grip on diverse terrains.
The bike also includes a Shimano seven-speed gear system, 160mm hydraulic disc brakes, and a dual seat. The LCD color display shows the current speed and battery level.
Engweâs international version boasts a dual battery capacity of 1,373Wh, which provides the extended range, while promotional materials indicate that the top assistance range may reach 230 km (~143 miles), though the calculation method remains unclear. The M1 e-bike also comes with a range of accessories, including a headlight, rear light, and turn signals.
Priced at âŹ1,049 for the single-battery version and âŹ1,249 for the dual-battery version, the bikes are currently discounted by âŹ250 from their original retail prices.
The bikes are available for purchase through Engweâs European online store in either yellow or black frames. However, it is still uncertain whether or when the international version will be available in other regions.
