MAN Truck & Bus has achieved a significant milestone in its decarbonization strategy with the delivery of its first production Ultra Low Liner eTGX electric semi-truck to international logistics provider Duvenbeck. This marks the start of Duvenbeck’s planned integration of over 100 such trucks into its fleet, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable logistics.
Duvenbeck signed a letter of intent in 2023 to purchase 120 eTGX trucks, and the arrival of the initial vehicles underscores the company’s shift toward electrification. The 40-ton e-trucks will play a key role in supporting both environmental goals and customer needs.
“The MAN eTruck is an important step towards emission-free logistics,” said Bernd Reining, Senior Director Procurement at Duvenbeck. “It helps us to meet our customers’ requirements and protect the environment at the same time. Sustainability is part of our everyday practice.”
A standout feature of the eTGX Ultra Low Liner is its ability to pull trailers with an interior height of three meters—unprecedented in its class of battery-electric trucks. “MAN has developed a solution perfectly tailored to the automotive industry’s high-volume transport needs,” said Friedrich Baumann, Chief Sales & Customer Solutions Officer at MAN Truck & Bus.
Duvenbeck plans to deploy the trucks at Volkswagen’s Wolfsburg plant, aligning with Volkswagen’s goTOzero impact logistics program aimed at climate-friendly transportation solutions. This delivery signals a major step forward for both MAN and Duvenbeck in their shared commitment to sustainable, emission-free logistics.
