Toyota and its Chinese partner GAC have started pre-sales of the bZ3X electric SUV in China, marking their latest collaboration in the growing electric vehicle market. With a starting price equivalent to €13,000, the bZ3X is offered in three variants and is set to launch officially in March 2025.

The bZ3X is based on the GAC Aion Architecture Electric Platform (AEP) 3.0, sharing similarities with GAC’s Aion V model. It features a 150 kW electric motor from Guangzhou Nidec Auto Drive System and is equipped with a 50 kWh LFP battery in the base 430 Air+ version, delivering a range of 430 km under the CLTC cycle. The higher-spec 520 Pro+ and 620 Max variants are expected to provide ranges of 520 km and 620 km, respectively. The battery can charge from 30% to 80% in 24 minutes at a fast charger.

Measuring 4.60 meters in length with a 2.77-meter wheelbase, the bZ3X incorporates “pure electric aesthetics” in its design. Highlights include split headlights, concealed door handles, a panoramic roof, and a crystalline light strip with interactive LED lighting.

The SUV is outfitted with advanced assistance technology powered by the Nvidia DRIVE AGX Orin X chip, offering over 25 ADAS features such as remote parking, blind spot monitoring, and traffic light assist.

Inside, the bZ3X features a 14.6-inch central control screen, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and a Yamaha 11-speaker audio system. The rear seats offer air conditioning vents and a folding armrest, while front seats can recline fully for added comfort, transforming the vehicle into a mobile resting space.

Available in seven color options, including Sky White, Cyber Gold, and Bright Moon Silver, the bZ3X is positioned as an affordable yet technologically advanced EV. Despite its appeal, Toyota has no plans to introduce the bZ3X to European markets, focusing its availability within China.
