Polestar has begun delivering its first U.S.-built Polestar 3 SUVs to North American customers, with units now being supplied from its South Carolina facility.
This marks a key development in Polestar’s evolution from a single-model brand to a more diverse lineup, now including the Polestar 2, Polestar 3, and the upcoming Polestar 4.
“From our retail partners to our employees, I’m extremely proud and excited for the delivery of U.S.-built Polestar 3’s making their way to customers,” stated Anders Gustafsson, Head of Polestar North America. He emphasized that the Polestar 3 is “an SUV designed for the North American market, proudly assembled in South Carolina, and now being handed over to North American customers.”
In line with its market expansion, Polestar recently announced that its vehicles now have access to over 17,800 Tesla Superchargers across the U.S. and Canada.
This collaboration aligns with Polestar’s adoption of Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) for future models, further integrating Tesla’s network into Polestar’s charging infrastructure.
Starting in mid-November, Polestar owners will be able to obtain adapters at Polestar Service Points, and future models will include the NACS port directly, offering seamless Supercharger compatibility without the need for adapters.
