THK, a Japanese technology company, introduced its LSR-05 electric vehicle prototype at the Paris Auto Salon, marking its first presentation at an international auto show.
Developed in collaboration with SN DESIGN PLATFORM, the LSR-05 incorporates several of THK’s latest innovations, including in-wheel motors, four-wheel steering, active suspension, and a contactless charging system. The vehicle was initially showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2023.
The LSR-05, a four-seater crossover coupe, highlights THK’s focus on advanced electric mobility technology. Notable features include the Stealth Seat-slide system, MR fluid active dampers, and electric brakes. The vehicle is powered by two 93 kW in-wheel motors at the rear and a 220 kW motor in the front, integrated into a four-wheel steering system.
At the Paris Auto Salon, Takashi Teramachi, Chief Operating Officer of THK, discussed the LSR-05’s platform, emphasizing its advanced features aimed at improving performance and comfort.
The vehicle also incorporates a dynamic wireless power transfer (DWPT) system for contactless charging. THK is currently working on the next-generation prototype, the LSR-07, which will be unveiled at a future Japan Mobility Show.
