Zeekr announced today that its newly launched Zeekr 7X electric SUV has surpassed 10,000 deliveries within just 25 days of going on sale, marking a significant milestone for the company in the Chinese EV market. This rapid achievement represents the fastest delivery of a luxury electric vehicle in China, according to a statement released by Zeekr on Weibo.
The Zeekr 7X, the company’s second model targeting the mainstream EV segment, was launched on September 20, 2024, with deliveries beginning the following day. The vehicle quickly gained momentum, securing over 6,000 locked-in orders within the first 24 hours of its launch and delivering more than 5,000 units within the first 10 days of sales.
As of October 7, firm orders for the Zeekr 7X had surpassed 20,000 units, with deliveries expected to exceed 10,000 units during its first full month on the market, according to a company statement shared with CnEVPost.
The Zeekr 7X is available in three variants in China, with starting prices of RMB 229,900 ($32,350), RMB 249,900, and RMB 269,900, respectively. Zeekr noted that 74 percent of the initial buyers were family users, highlighting the model’s strong appeal among consumers focused on safety. Additionally, 68.3 percent of the owners are new parents, and 74.9 percent are daily commuters.
Founded in 2021, Zeekr’s current lineup includes several models, such as the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 007, Zeekr 009, and Zeekr X. The Zeekr 007 sedan, launched in December 2023, marked the company’s first foray into the mainstream EV market.
Zeekr delivered 21,333 vehicles in September 2024, representing a 76.99 percent year-on-year increase and an 18.42 percent rise from the previous month. So far this year, Zeekr has delivered 142,873 vehicles, up 80.79 percent compared to the same period in 2023, showcasing the company’s robust growth trajectory in the electric vehicle sector.
