Zeekr, the electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, has entered the Brazilian market with the introduction of its Zeekr 001 model. The vehicle was launched in São Paulo on October 10, marking the company’s first step into the market as part of its international expansion strategy.
Priced at 428,000 reais ($76,390), the Zeekr 001 will be available for delivery in Brazil starting in November, according to a company press release. Zeekr also plans to open its first store in Brazil in December, with additional locations expected to follow in major cities.
Zeekr has been expanding its presence across Latin America this year, with earlier market entries in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Colombia. By the end of September, the company reported that it had established a presence in over 35 international markets.
In Europe, Zeekr recently announced its entry into the Norwegian market, following earlier expansions in the Netherlands and Sweden. The Zeekr 001 shooting brake and Zeekr X compact SUV will be available for ordering in Norway later this month, with deliveries anticipated by the end of the year.
The company has also reported strong sales figures, delivering 21,333 vehicles in September, a new monthly record. From January to September, Zeekr delivered 142,873 vehicles, reflecting an 80.79 percent year-on-year increase. Zeekr aims to deliver 230,000 vehicles in 2024, nearly double its projected 2023 deliveries.
