Al Marri emphasized that this new addition supports “the United Arab Emirates’ ongoing efforts to transition towards a green economy,” in line with the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033. Sultan echoed this sentiment, saying, “We are proud to support Dubai Police’s efforts to enhance its fleet of electric vehicles. In conjunction with the recent opening of our first retail showroom in the City Walk, we look forward to expanding our business in Dubai.”
The Lucid Air Grand Touring now joins an impressive fleet that already includes Tesla Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck. The decision to integrate another Lucid model reflects the company’s strong ties to the region, with significant backing from the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), which has invested $6.4 billion into Lucid since 2018.
Lucid recently solidified its presence in the Middle East with the opening of its first factory in Saudi Arabia in September 2023, which will have an annual production capacity of 50,000 units.
