Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Zeekr has launched its Zeekr X compact SUV in Singapore and commenced deliveries in Thailand as part of its ongoing globalization strategy, the company announced on Thursday.
The Zeekr X, available in two variants, was launched in Singapore on August 1. The standard version is priced at S$199,999 ($150,580), while the flagship version is available for S$214,999. The company explained that the higher prices in Singapore are attributed to elevated purchase costs and taxes compared to those in China.
âThe Zeekr X was initially launched in China on April 12, 2023,â the company stated. They subsequently launched the 2024 Zeekr X on January 10 and the 2025 Zeekr X on July 1. In China, the SUV is offered in two variants, both starting at RMB 200,000 ($27,830).
Zeekr’s first store in Singapore will officially open at the end of August, located at 9 Leng Kee Road. The store will cover two floors and a total area of about 1,300 square meters, offering sales and vehicle delivery services.
The launch in Singapore follows Zeekrâs partnership with local dealer Premium Auto, signed on December 28 last year. Premium Auto, an Audi retail dealer, will establish dedicated facilities for Zeekr, separate from those for Audi vehicles.
Coinciding with the Singapore launch, Zeekr began delivering the first right-hand drive version of the Zeekr X in Thailand on August 1. The company had started taking pre-orders for the Zeekr X and the Zeekr 009 MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) in Thailand on March 25, officially launching the Zeekr X there on July 11.
By the end of July, Zeekr had entered over 30 mainstream overseas markets and plans to expand to more than 50 international markets by the end of the year.
