Zeekr, a prominent player in the electric vehicle market, reached a significant milestone in April, delivering a record 16,089 vehicles. This achievement represents a substantial increase from 8,101 vehicles delivered in April last year and a notable 23.65 percent jump from 13,012 vehicles in March. The success in deliveries follows the well-received launch of the updated Zeekr 001 at the end of February.
In the first four months of 2024, Zeekr delivered a total of 49,148 vehicles, reflecting a robust 110.62 percent year-on-year growth. Since its inception, the company has delivered 245,781 vehicles, solidifying its position in the competitive electric vehicle market.
The company’s strong performance aligns with its parent company Geely’s ambitious sales target for 2024, which aims to deliver 230,000 vehicles, representing an impressive 94 percent growth trajectory. Zeekr’s strategic initiatives, including special incentives for early orders of the Zeekr 001, have contributed to its success.
The Zeekr 001, especially the shooting brake model, has been a best-seller for the company, with 76,246 units delivered in 2023, accounting for 64 percent of the total 118,685 units delivered that year.
Zeekr’s current lineup includes the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 001 FR, Zeekr 007, Zeekr 009, and Zeekr X. The company expanded its offerings with the introduction of the four-seat Zeekr 009 Grand on April 19, targeting business owners and CEOs with a starting price of RMB 789,000 ($108,960).
Furthermore, on April 25, Zeekr unveiled its SEA-M architecture at the Beijing Auto Show, along with the Zeekr Mix, the first model based on this architecture.
