Young urban air mobility (UAM) developer Doroni Aerospace has emerged from the shadows of the eVTOL startup world, revealing its flagship aircraft, the H1-X, during a livestream event. The two-seat eVTOL is nearing market readiness, boasting impressive specifications.
Founded in 2016 by Doron Merdinger, an entrepreneur with 25 years of design and manufacturing experience, Doroni Aerospace aims to democratize flight in the growing eVTOL sector.

The H1-X represents the culmination of Doroni’s efforts, designed as a two-seat personal aircraft rather than a larger cabin for air taxi services. It features a unique tandem wing configuration with built-in propellers, enhancing lift and efficiency while managing airflow and noise.
Weighing 1,850 pounds and capable of carrying a 500-pound payload, the H1-X can fly for 40 minutes on a single charge, reaching a top speed of 120 mph. Doroni plans to train and certify future owners due to its high speed.

The first H1-X eVTOLs are currently under construction and will undergo extensive test flights by the end of the year. The aircraft has already received FAA certification for flightworthiness in the US and is set to enter mass production in 2026, with an estimated price range of $300,000 to $400,000 per unit.
